“We Struck Gold!”

These were the first words I announced to Chancellor as we connected for a call after the first Maharishi Vedic Leadership Forum (MVLF), held at our Purusha Capital in West Virginia, USA.

It was September 2nd, 2018, when we formally inaugurated the Maharishi Purusha program and along with Tadej and Jamie — our resident Maharishi Purusha intrapreneurs in tow — set out to bring the unique and profound experience of Purusha life to the next generation of TM meditators and Sidhas. Holding the MVLF at our “crown jewel” location was at the top of our to-do list.

For the past two years Dr. John and Sara Konhaus have hosted the MVLF in the pristine location of Zermatt, Switzerland, in order to expound Maharishi’s most advanced teachings on Vedic Leadership. In 2019, John and Maharishi Purusha joined forces to bring this profound course to the US for the first time.

I found myself blown away by a course that was not only deep rest, but that was making unity consciousness tangible! … I’ve heard the word “unity consciousness” so many times, but to start to feel it, to smell it, to feel like I get it, and to be led by course leaders who feel like they get it; taking what might have seemed like a theoretical idea and making it (unity consciousness) practical; and very much I feel like it changes the direction of my life.

The course was in all honesty the most intense course I’ve ever led and yet it’s hard to put that intensity into words, apart from the feeling that it was the brewing of a “perfect storm” — a combination of Maharishi’s profound knowledge, this incredible natural gem of a location (Vastu buildings, beautiful natural surrounds and an atmosphere saturated in silence) and the sheer quality of our course next generation participants.

Personally, I was blown away at how this younger generation thinks from the level of the heart, as shown by the number of poems and artistic expressions showcased on the final evening of the course. This was a complete contrast to my generation that was very much focused on the knowledge in a dryer “point value” kind of way.

Apart from the deep knowledge and the impressive location, additional major highlights were a couple of day-trips; kayaking down the Potomac river and hiking up nearby Ice Mountain.

These fabulous excursions were enjoyed even more so due to the sheer contrast with many deep experiences in program compounded by profound insights into the art of Vedic Leadership that were constantly being digested by the group on a daily basis.

I’m continually fascinated by how these ‘days off’ are still so profound in letting the knowledge and experiences sink-in and churn within one’s physiology while, at the same time, allowing these new understandings to blossom day by day. This, coupled with the indescribable togetherness created by the group, kept our hearts and minds humming on high.

But back to the “gold”: The ultimate litmus test was to see how many of our 15 younger MVLF participants would sign-on to the 2-month Maharishi Purusha program. With the ten-day course drawing to a close, we had one last ace up our sleeve — a conference call with Chancellor — a long time Purusha, inspiring TM organization leader, and mentor to many of the younger TM generation — that we thought would be just the ticket.

Boom!

Almost three-quarters of the group wanted to sign-on to the full Maharishi Purusha program … THIS was the gold we were looking for!
